We are happy to explore a new design and build from scratch to encompass everything that you had dreamed of and will offer advice of how to take advantage of all that your specific mooring location has to offer. Not simply to maximise outlook and light but an all encompassing factor assessment to include onsite access, utilities and ways to minimise the infrastructure required to site the new home.

FOR A MOORING YOU RENT:

Dependant on your landlord or committee that pass judgement on what is allowed to occupy the given mooring space we will negotiate with the relevant parties to agree your houseboat's external appearance whilst intrinsically designing the internal layouts specifically to suit your needs.

FOR A MOORING SITE WE INTRODUCE:

Before we introduce new purchasers to our found sites we usually agree the external appearance with the controlling owner. Many of these external designs have taken many attempts and consultations with the mooring owners to maximise the level of accommodation and although these may change once a buyer is on board there is only likely to small changes and is quite unlikely to increase the overall size and footprint.

OTHER FLOATING STRUCTURES / ACCOMMODATION:

Not only do we design and build fully residential houseboats we have also looked at floating home offices, personal gyms and treatment rooms as well as water sports' club houses and shower blocks. Any form of floating structure you require where we can add our proven technologies and experience we would be interested to assist with. We must remind all our clients that only main residence houseboats are currently zero rated for VAT and therefore the price of any floating structure to be used for purposes other than a prime residence will be subject to VAT (currently at 20% when going to print and subject to change)

Whether you have 5 or 5,000 meters of lake, sea or river frontage moorings we have keen proceedable purchasers just waiting for the right opportunity for a whole host of uses.

We at UK Floating Homes are always looking for new sites to develop floating communities whether they are to be used for holiday homes, second homes or even single one-off residences.

We are working very closely with various government bodies and major land owners to agree specifics on a number of floating developments across the country for a wide range of uses and can always look at more sites to add to our grand scheme.

Delivery & Commissioning

We have brought together a fantastic team of guys and girls across three generations of experienced hauliers, crane operators, skippers and tug captains to deliver many vessels safely to their final destinations.

We take into account the latest regulations of highway and waterway's safety, security and insurance to deliver a service that advises on the safest and most practical means of collection and delivery across the UK and mainland Europe. If you need a delivery further a field, and we cannot do it ourselves we can put you in contact with someone that can.

Regarding commissioning of our vessels, we prefer to keep costs down for our clients by carrying out as much of the work in our workshop environment and therefore have a plug and play system on our vessels to fix and go on delivery.

The preparation of the site in readiness to receive your new vessel is paramount. In locations that require an amount of site adaptation whether to the access, utilities and infrastructure we can advise and assist as much as required to ensure a smooth delivery.
